If you get this error on render with Maya software

Error: You are attempting to load a file that contains legacy render layers into a scene

You should be able to see the render layers in your outliner if you disable (uncheck) “ DAG Objects Only ” form the Display menu.

Maya always gives this error due to files being referenced in that have their own “ ** Default Render Layer** “
